The Russian national team has not yet become the leader of world football
In February, the President of the Russian Football Union, Alexander Dyukov, said that despite the unfulfilled tasks set for the Russian national football team, Stanislav Cherchesov was and remains the head coach of the team, because they trust him.
Last season turned out to be difficult for Russian football and ended on a sad note. The match in Belgrade upset the players, the coaching staff and disappointed the fans. Stanislav Cherchesov's students missed the opportunity to enter the "A" division, and next season they will play with European second-tier teams. A. Dyukov noted that one of the reasons that influenced the performance of the national team is the losses in the team. The disqualification and injuries of the main players have greatly affected the quality of the game. If the loss of 5-6 players is not particularly felt for the German or Swedish national teams, then for our national team, the thinning of the safety margin affects competitiveness.
Of course, the head coach of the national team Stanislav Salamovich realizes that he did not lead the national team to the leaders of world football and did not fulfill the tasks assigned to him. However, the management did not judge only by unsuccessful matches and extended the contract with Cherchesov. The previous unbeaten matches before Belgrade deserve a positive assessment of the quality of the game.
In 2021, the Russian national team will have to try and prove its worth and professionalism!
