Review of the 18/19 season

The first UEFA Nations League tournament was held in the 2018/19 football season. The final match was held in Porto on June 9, 2019 between the national teams of Portugal and the Netherlands. The decisive and only goal was scored by Gosalu Gedesh, who brought victory to the Portuguese in this prestigious competition.

The final stage was held from 5 to 9 June 2019, and 4 national teams participated in it: England, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Portugal. The first game of the semi-final was between Portugal and Switzerland, ended with the defeat of the latter with a score of 3:1. The next day, the second match took place "Netherlands" - "England", the victory was for the Netherlands 3 goals against one by the British. The third place match between Switzerland and England ended without scoring goals. Then there was the penalty shootout, where the representatives of the foggy Albion won with a score of 6:5.

The best players of the tournament were: Top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), he also owns the best goal of the championship. Bernardo Silva (Portugal) became the best player of the tournament, Frankie de Jong (Netherlands) became the best young player, and in the last nomination of this competition, the top scorer of the qualification was Alexander Mirovic (Serbia).
