UEFA Nations League news for football fans

So far, we are talking about the amount of no more than 30% of the stadium's occupancy. But even so, football matches in their atmosphere will become more similar to the period before quarantine.

This decision was made possible thanks to the successful holding of the test match, which took place on September 24 as part of the UEFA Super Cup in Budapest.

Of course, additional conditions will be imposed. For example, fans of the visiting teams will not be allowed to enter the stadiums until further notice. Matches in this format should be held only with the permission of the local authorities, guided by the approval of UEFA.

Almost immediately after the news from UEFA, the RFU press service also announced that fans would be allowed to attend the football matches of the Russian national team in October, which will be held in Moscow, according to UEFA recommendations.

It also became known that the upcoming matches of the national team with the teams of Turkey and Hungary will be held at the VTB Arena stadium. These meetings will take place at 21:45 Moscow time on October 11 and October 14, respectively.

The unusual news was that the UEFA executive committee approved the rule of 5 substitutions in tournaments held under the auspices of the union. The new rule will apply until the end of the season in the Champions League, Europa League, and other UEFA football tournaments. Also, the total number of players who can be claimed for the match will be 23 people.

For the first time since 2015, the defender of "Sandhausen" Alexander Zhirov will be called to the camp of the Russian national team. This player was invited to the national team camp even under Capello's coaching, but never got a chance to prove himself on the field. We hope everything will go differently this time.
